Peru – Santa Luisa
The Junín department is a region located in the heart of Peru, known for its mountainous terrain and stunning Andean landscapes. The Julcarima family runs their Santa Luisa farm here with great respect for nature. Their commitment to preservation is evident in the fact that, of their 30 hectares, only 10 are cultivated—leaving the rest to thrive as wild forest with native trees.
Sergio Julcarima is the third generation of coffee growers in his family. After finishing school, he decided to dedicate himself to agriculture, following in the footsteps of his parents and grandparents. His sister Dula, who became one of the first Q-graders in Peru after entering a cupping competition just for fun, brings invaluable insight by linking the results at the cupping table to the production process—an essential part of further improving quality.
This coffee is particularly clean, lively, refreshing, and fruity. We’re proud to feature their coffee for the second year in a row.
