From one of our favourite regions in Kenya comes one of our long time favourite’s, Ngwethe. Officially known as The Kahuhia Coffee Growers Cooperative Society (CGCS), the cooperative has four factories (wet mills). The other three are Kahuhia, Wanjengi and Gathinja. They are being supported by Sucafina and with Mette-Marie being our feet on the ground we have the possibility to select these coffees before they go through auction. We just love Kenyan coffees because of their fruit driven profile and juicy mouthfeel.
The fields are located on the south western slopes of Mount Kenya and extend to the eastern slopes of the Aberdares mountain range. This region is well known for its high production of high quality coffees. The elevation of 1800 meters above sea level combined with the volcanic soil make some of the top conditions to grow coffee.
