Java Frinsa Estate, nestled in the lush highlands of West Java, is the remarkable coffee project run by Wildan Mustofa and Atieq Mustikaningtyas. Since 2010, the estate has been dedicated to innovative, environmentally conscious coffee farming, prioritizing quality over conventional methods. Manis means ‘sweet’ in the Bahasa language and is also used to describe something, or someone, that is loved by all. We hope you also appreciate this very funky, intense, yet very well balanced coffee too!
With six growing plots across diverse altitudes and cultivars, Frinsa controls every stage of production—from careful cherry selection to unique fermentation techniques using lactic and saccharomyces cultures. These methods add depth and complexity, resulting in coffees with a syrupy texture, bright malic acidity, and a unique sweetness that lingers on the palate. This is an extended fermentation natural process, fermented for 4 days under water. Whole cherries were dried without adding any additives during the process.
