Jairo Arcila is working for one of the biggest exporters in Colombia as a mill manager. Besides that he also runs his father’s farm next to having his own farms. He packs over 35 years of coffee experience and that is showing of in his exceptional vision of producing high end specialty coffee.
He takes pride in his exotic varieties like geisha, tabi, java and this pink bourbon that comes from his farm Finca Vilarazo in Quindio. He has planted native tree species that create shade, better soil quality and protection for his special coffees. This microlot is exposed to an dry anaerobic fermentation mixed with tangerine skin. After that they are shade dried on parabolic beds.
During harvest season there are 50 people working on his farm, the processing is done by his sons Carlos and Felipe.
