You know those kinds of coffees that go down smoothly and you just can’t get enough of? This is one of those coffees! It is mellow, juicy and has an aftertaste for days with plenty of fruity notes to keep you pleasantly surprised. This is the work of Carlos and his family in Casa Negra. In addition to producing fantastic coffee, he also invests in the local community to improve living conditions there.
From the nearest town, it’s a five kilometer drive along winding, rough, and potholed roads to reach the plantation. A couple of familiar fincas (Villarazo and Santa Monica) are also located nearby. Together, they cultivate different varieties of coffee plants, such as Pink Bourbon, Java, Catui & Castillo, and Tabi.
The journey this coffee has undertaken is long and intensive. The attention to detail and knowledge invested throughout the process are among the many components that make this coffee an amazing cup.
