Single Estate and Samambaia have been working together for several years now. Together we try to produce the most delicious coffees by sharing our findings and exchanging our ideas. Henrique Dias Cambraia, owner and manager, is the 4th generation on this plantation. He and his brother and sister have been running the company since 1993. He attributes the success of the plantation to a combination of factors: the location of the plantation at an altitude of 1200 meters, a stable climate with an average of 21 degrees, skilled technical management of the plantation and fields and the continuous training of the staff based on own quality control programs.

During harvest the producers meticulously select specific varieties and carefully keep it separate from the others, which enables full traceability. This bag contains exclusively beans of the Obata variety. Compared to other Brazilian varieties, this coffee has more fruity and flowery flavors and is slightly higher in acidity. Usually you will find such flavors mostly in Ethiopian coffees. Besides its remarkable flavors, it is also pretty resilient to the infamous coffee rust disease and has a high yield as well. After harvest and selection, the coffee cherries are dried on beds which results in an even more sweeter and well-balanced cup.
