In the former women’s prison in Zwolle, transformed into a beautiful design restaurant. Restaurant De Librije stands for full enjoyment with special dishes in an attractive ambiance where hospitality is extremely important. The basis of the kitchen is pure ingredients from local suppliers. Patron-cuisinier Jonnie Boer and his kitchen team ensure perfection in the kitchen and hostess and sommelier Thérèse and her team guarantee great hospitality and special wine/food pairings.

For Jonnie Boer and Thérèse Boer it should be a piece of cake by now: once again De Librije in Zwolle was awarded the highest honor by Michelin. For a year, the restaurant can be proud of the three stars awarded to them by the gastronomic experts. There are only 137 three-star restaurants in the world. “I’m always emotional,” said Thérèse Boer afterwards. “So nice to see all those young people. And we are always nervous when we drive here.”

Adrian Zarzo has a Spanish father and Dutch mother. He grew up in Spain, in a village near Valencia. He returned to the Netherlands for his career as a chef and sommelier. For years he gains experience in starred restaurants. Until the time comes to open his own restaurant. A dream come true. Restaurant Zarzo is a haute cuisine restaurant with an innovative Spanish-Dutch kitchen. Zarzo is a total experience, where there are no thresholds and everyone is welcome. Recognition, identity and serenity play a major role.

Food Labs by François Geurds is an attraction within an attraction, an impressive railway tunnel under the Hofbogen in Rotterdam. The Rotterdam star chef is also a huge coffee lover and has once again achieved something special. “I am such a coffee freak. I have had a special passion for the product from a young age and that is why I pay a lot of attention to it in my restaurants.”

With the coffee menu, he goes one step further and takes you through “an intimate exploration of coffee”. The chef does that himself. He lets you taste special brews that you have never tasted before and combines them with at least eight sweet and savory appetizers.
